Hi, my name is Seth Jiles -
I run a design & build shop creating hand-made furniture and custom installations in Southern California.
I grew up on a family owned and operated citrus ranch in rural San Diego County, nestled in the Palomar Mountain foot hills where my father split his time between ranch operations and running a small custom furniture and cabinetry shop. In that shop my father taught me the art of woodworking, the love of small, well executed details, an appreciation for sharp tools, and the compulsive desire the make beautiful things. When I started my own woodworking business I wanted it to be based on the things I was taught by my father as well as lessons learned on my own. I care deeply about the pieces that comes from this shop - and thats why I put my last name on them.
The Process
When we’ve decided that we’re a good fit for each other I will partner with you to design the custom and unique pieces that reflect your personality or embody your vision and style for a space.
In this process communication is the foundation. Your custom piece will be one-of-a-kind, so I will connect with you throughout the design and build process to make sure you feel confident in the project and will be happy with the end result.
Customer care doesn’t end with delivery - if your piece reveals a defect or fails to function as designed in spite of proper care I will do all that I can to restore the piece to like-new condition.
By its nature furniture may encounter normal wear and tear over time - or even accidental damage so I offer maintenance and repair services on all my pieces to keep them in their prime.
